Ok so technically he joined us 6 weeks ago (but, who's counting).

A few select family members have been casually reminding me how much they loved following us on our blog.

And I figured what better a reason then Mr. Logan, our perfect little addition to our wild crazy household of boys.

He is adjusting well and fits right in. Not to say we don't have rough days but, we already don't remember days before Logan was part of our crew.

Caleb is Four

I can not believe it has been four years!! On Caleb's Birthday we went to the zoo with MiMi and Aunt D and then came home and decorated eggs for Easter and had Birthday cake, it was a great day. We will celebrate with family and friends on the 26th.

In my attempts to catch back up on things...pictures from the boys 2nd Birthday party in January. We did a dinosaur theme, they loved it. Sadly I did not get many good pictures from the day, mostly because Dylan was showing is fear of all people he does not see daily and was clinging to my leg like his life depended on it.

I am shocked that it has happened already...my babies are toddlers!!! WAHHHH!! Soon they will be wearing clothes that sizes end in T, then they will be going to school, it goes way to quick! I want to freeze time and have them be my babies for just a little bit longer :(

So Daddy had to work today so we opened presents in the morning and had a Birthday breakfast before Daddy had to head off for the day.

Christmas

We had a GREAT Christmas, the boys thoroughly enjoyed all of it even if Dylan screamed and cried every time there was more than four people in the house, don't know what was wrong with him, maybe a little overwhelmed by all of it. Caleb wanted one thing for Christmas, the Thomas the train action cannon set from Santa, needless to say Santa delivered and Caleb was thrilled. Ethan and Dylan are too little to have any wants yet, so they did not have a want list, so it was left to Santa to pick something out he thought they would enjoy, he decided on a little bouncy ball pit that takes up a quarter of the play room...but, the boys LOVE it!!

Christmas Eve as usual was at our house with family coming over to join us for snacky foods and drinks, it was a really nice night and the kids had a ball playing with their cousins.

First snow fall...

I am so far behind on everything, so this probably should be a Christmas post, but, I had to get this one in first,pictures of our first snow of the season. We baked gingerbread men for the boys to decorate and enjoyed some time out in the snow. As you will notice, Dylan is not in many pictures from outside...he did not enjoy the snow very much and wanted to go in shortly after we went out...it was a great day and Daddy was even home from work...which made it all that much better!

The Nutcracker

We (me, Aunt D and Mi-Mi) took Caleb and Brianna to see the Nutcracker at the Warner a couple weeks ago. I have to admit I was nervous as heck that Caleb would be ansy and not sit and watch and enjoy. But, he did very well for a 3 1/2 year old boy watching a ballet. I was pretty impressed. Toward the end he wanted to go on a couple walks with me, which was fine, but other than that he sat and truly seemed to enjoy it.

Last weekend we went to the tree lighting downtown, then Aunt D threw a little party for Lara who was visiting from out of town. It was a fun night. Good to see you Lara!!

It was also good to see Alison and Sam who came for Thanksgiving and stayed with Aunt D for a extended visit, we had fun visiting with you guys!!

Thomas the Train

Sunday we took Caleb to go see Thomas. We decided that it would be nice to have a day just Caleb with Mommy and Daddy, even though I am sure the twin would have loved to see Thomas too, it was a great decision, we do not get enough time one on one with just Caleb. He enjoyed every minute of it!

This is when we first got there and he saw Thomas, we did not tell him where we were going...I think he was surprised, confused and excited...

The boys cleaned the pumpkin out and Daddy carved a cute little face in it...

So, as suspected Ethan did not wear his spider costume on Halloween, he was scared of it even if it was not on him, so I decided not to torture him, because if you know Ethan that means endless screaming...and I mean SCREAMING!! So, I was able to pick up a last minute outfit at Old Navy that worked for the couple of houses him and Dylan adventured to with the older kids. Caleb was a pirate and Dylan was a devil.

Daddy's Birthday and...

I Know I should make one post all about Daddy's Birthday but, I do not feel like making two post so there are some random pictures that will share this post with Daddy's Birthday :)

Yesterday Daddy turned the big 31!! We had a delicious meal of Daddy's favorite...lobster and crap legs! YUMMY!! Followed by cake baked and decorated by none other than Mommy, Caleb, Ethan and Dylan. It really was a nice night and everyone (just about) slept through the night, which always mean celebration at our house!

Happy Birthday Aron, I love you very much and I am extremely happy to be raising these three wonderful boys with you!!

Halloween Party

Sunday Aunt D threw a Halloween Party for the boys, I provided the location and a few snacks and she planned the rest. It was a fantastic day. The kids had a blast playing together, doing crafts and eating endless junk food!

I have to say, I was bad and did not get pictures of all the kids dressed up :(
But, I did get one each of my boys before there costumes got torn off. I think that Caleb is the only one that will be wearing a costume on Halloween...the twins HATED theirs...especially Ethan.

Helping Daddy with leaf clean up

When I was at work the boys helped Aron clean up the leaves in the front yard, they had a ball playing in the leaves and stuffing their spider leaf bag.

These last three pictures Caleb took. He is really into taking pictures and I must say he is not so bad, the picture or Dylan on the front steps came out pretty good, could Dylan look any more pathetic?

I love the fall!!

Saturday we headed out to get pumpkins, hit up the corn maze and enjoy a beautiful fall day, it was perfect, the weather was great and the leaves had started to change.

The maze was long and the boys got tired towards the end so poor Aron ended up with one child on his shoulders and one in his arms and I carried the other but, the boys had a ball running through the corn!

The boys had a lot of fun looking at all the pumpkins, we settled on one giant pumpkin which we will be carving this week and a couple really little ones for the boys to "play" with.

Then they had some fun posing for some photos...

And really enjoyed their tasty apples on the ride home...

It truly was the perfect fall day, I think we all agreed on that!

The Beach

On Friday we took our final trip down to the ocean for the season, soon snow will be falling and it will be too cold. We love the shore, there is just something about spending the day at the beach, even if it is a little chilly! This was a perfect day, we headed down with Mi-Mi and Aunt D.

It was such a nice day and even though a little chilly and windy it was nice for it to not be hot and sticky. And we came home with a good deal of sea glass and some cool shells.

A little side note - (You may notice that lately I get way more pictures of Ethan than I do of Dylan that is because every time I point the camera at Dylan he turns away whereas Ethan loves to get his picture taken.)

Dreaming

Do you ever have a dream and when you wake up you either wish it was real or glad it was not?

I have those too.

It has been 2 years, 3 months and 13 days since my father passed.

In the beginning I dreamed about him a lot, I would dream and he would be in them, I had dreams that he knew he was going to die, I had dreams that he was hugging me, I had dreams that he was just in, like my life used to be.

Those dreams stopped for a long time.

They are back again, I have been dreaming about him a lot, almost every other night. I dream that he his hugging me, I dream that he is just there, I dream that I am calling him, I dream that I am talking to him.

I wake up and I am not sure how I feel about these dreams.

I think I love them because it is "time" with him. Time I will never again get in "real" life. It is time I get to feel his presence, it is hugs that I get to feel in my dreams that I will never again feel for real.

Then sometimes I think I hate them because I have to wake up to reality.

THAT SUCKS!!

It has happened - we have started giving our house over to our children or should I say, over to their toys - our dinning room has become the play room :)

I must admit, I LOVE it!!! All the toys are now in ONE room instead of all over the house, my living room stays clear of clutter and toys - which is GREAT!! And it makes toy clean up so much easier. Also, having my dinning room right off my kitchen makes dinner time easier. So, even though feel like my house is being taken over by Toys r' us, I love my boys and this is makes so much more sense than it did before.

My posts are typically about fun stuff we do and include pictures, this post will have neither. Ok, maybe I will add a few updated pics at the end. It is just an update post, with information on what is going on in our neck of the woods, so to say.

Caleb – he has started preschool, he goes two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday and everyday drop off gets less and less painful, he will adjust soon hopefully. Although, always by pickup he is happy and had a great day! Even though it is just preschool, thinking of my “baby” going to school is crazy to me! He is super excited about Halloween already, we got out the decorations today, mostly because I totally forgot what I picked up end of season last year for them to be this year, luckly they are young enough still that I can get away with this. Caleb will be a pirate this year, he is so excited and tried it on like 5 times today! He has been walking around singing like crazy the past few weeks, he will just randomly break out in song. And he is really into books, we have to read about 5 million before bed, well, maybe it is just 5 but, it feels like so much more some nights, then he has to take said 5 million books into bed with him to "read" during the night - he is so darn cute!!

Ethan – he has started speech therapy, the other day the therapist got him saying knife (although he has not said it since), she had a little veggie set with a plastic knife that “cut” through the fruit, it was cute and they loved it. He is saying “more” and “ma-ma” as well as “go”. I am hoping that he starts picking up some more words soon as it is getting increasingly difficult for him and me that he can not communicate – we are working on the signs and he know the sign for eat, but, that is all so far. He is such a ma-ma’s boy it is crazy, everywhere I go he is attached to me and if he thinks I am leaving it is the end of the world for him, frustrating at times, but, mostly I think it is sweet and cute.

Dylan – he is doing good, he injured his finger the other day and being the dramatic one that he is every time he looks down at it and remembers that it is injured he makes a really sad face and says “ouch, ouch, oh, oh, ouch” it is pathetically cute! In his defense he is missing half his nail. He is my trouble maker and has a personality a lot like his Grampy’s, boy are we in trouble! He is addicted to his binky, which is driving me mad. He is just an awesomely funny, silly little boy.

Mr. Dragon Tail - is doing good, he is adjusting to his new home and seems to like it. He was kind of lethargic for a couple days, Aron called the pet store and they seem to think the twins may have been stressing him out when we took him out of the aquarium, which makes sense, they are enough to stress anyone out some days.

All in all we are doing really well, I am not really looking forward to winter and the long days held up in the house, but, we will make it, we always have the museum pass, the aquarium membership and playing outside in the snow (fingers crossed they all LOVE the snow), so hopefully it will not be as bad as I am anticipating.

The newest Moore

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the Moore family, Mr. Dragon Tail.

He is a baby bearded dragon. The kids love him, as do me and Aron, how can you not, he is so darn cute!! We have no experience in reptiles as pets so any advise would be much appriciated if anyone has any.

My Baby (ok, so maybe he is not a baby anymore, but, he will always be my baby) started preschool on Thursday, it was a transition day, since I had to work Daddy brought him, it was an hour long and Daddy stayed with him the whole time, he starts by himself on Tuesday WAAHHH!!!

Seeing as a good deal of the time it is me with the boys while Aron is at work, I thought he would like me to post that he does do fun stuff with the boys while I am at work. Last week he took the boys to the Dinosaur Place, the twins were with him, not so sure why they are not in any of the pictures, but, they were there ... I think.

Caleb is really into Dinosaurs, more so lately than ever, so he had a great time seeing them all and told me all about it the minute I walked in the door, I love it when his face lights up when he talks about things he has done with Daddy!

This is the first year we have taken the boys fruit picking and they LOVED it!!! So much that we went twice, once with Aunt D and Uncle Chuck and once with just Mommy and Daddy. We picked blueberries (by far the favorite), peaches and plums. We can not wait for apple and pumpkin picking to start!

1. I hate my nails being long, I mean long at all, my toes and my fingers, if any bit grows over a couple millimeters, I cut it right off or it drives me crazy.

2. I like my floors clean, dust does not really bother me (although I am kind of neurotic about my kitchen counters) but, it drives me out of my mind if I walk through my house and things stick to the bottom of my feet (we are barefoot a lot). So, my floors in the main part of my house get vacuumed and swept at least once a day.

3. I have to have my kids dressed within a couple hours of getting up. It is very, very rare that an all day PJ day happens at our house when I am home, I can not stand it if we are not dressed, I just feel like it means the day is ready to begin once we are out of PJs.

4. I am scared out of my mind of spiders, I am afraid they are going to jump on me, crawl on me, whatever, I just can not stand them, I am getting creeped out just thinking about them!

5. I watch too much real life crime TV for my own good, it makes nights home alone very nerve racking.

6. I have to sleep with a blanket on, I like it too be cold when I sleep and I like a blanket, even if it is hot, the fluffier the better, therefore the cooler the better.

Fiesta Time!

Last weekend we had a summer gathering at our house, it was loads of fun, tons of kids, really good food and good conversation!

We did a Fiesta theme, complete with fajitas, beans, rice and salads - YUMMMMY!!

As in typical Chris fashion, he made a awsome appitizer for the party, this was called mexican cheese cake (I think), it was AWSOME!!

Oh of course you can not forget the beer bong table, yes people we relived our youth years and had a beer bong table.

We ended the festivities with a pinata, which of course the kids loved although I tend to think that Aron and Charley had more fun pulling it and trying to get the kids to swing higher and harder than the kids did acctually hitting it, although when all the good fell out, the kids were so excited!!

Action Wildlife

Me and Aron finally had a day off together on Friday so we decided to forgo all the millions of things that need to be done around the house and do something fun with the boys in the morning. So we headed to Action Wildlife in Goshen. It is like 5 minutes from our house yet, this was our first time going there, the boys had a great time and Mommy and Daddy even enjoyed it. They have acres and acres of animals outside, then stuffed (not sure if that is the correct terminology) animals from all over the world inside, then there is a little reptile area inside and to top it off a petting/feeding area. The weather was perfect and since we were so close to home, we had plenty of time later in the day to get a couple of the million things that need to be done at home done.

I have been in a funk lately, not really too much exciting going on to post about and I have not taken too many pictures of the boys. We have been spending what little free time we have trying to finish up the numerous projects that continue to remain unfinished around here and with a tree falling in our yard during one of the recent big storms it has just added to the list of things that need to get done. So, here are some random recent pictures we have taken.

Today I am asking that you please pray for Tuesday, a beautiful little girl that I have gotten to know through her Mother, as part of a multiples group that I joined when Ethan and Dylan were a couple months old. Tuesday has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and has just started her road to recovery. She is an amazing little girl with an amazing family and they really need all the prayers and positive thoughts that they can get right now. Family Fun Day

Both Daddy and Mommy were off from work on Tuesday so we spent a fun day together. First we went to Kent Falls State Park and enjoyed a day of swimming and a little hiking.

Then we took a break for a picnic lunch -

And off for a small hike up the trail that leads to the top of the falls -

Then that night Aunt D invited us to her house for a picnic in her backyard of homemade pizza - YUM! After which we walked over to the park for a concert, it was a lot of fun!

Our Weekend

We had a very busy, fun filled weekend - it started on Friday with a trip to the park, just the boys and me, this does not happen very often, because as you can imagine, watching three of them with only one set of eyes is not very easy, we went early before everyone else was out of the house for the day, then ran errands and got some lunch.

Then on Saturday Aunt D called to see if we wanted to run the couple of errands we had to do together, sure, we are always game for a trip out of the house, the boys fell asleep in the car, or should I say Ethan and Dylan did, Caleb was with Brianna and Kim at the beach for a day of fun in the sun, well, seeing as they were sleeping we went around and checked out a couple tag sales, and I hit the jack pot, I had been wanting to get the boys a play kitchen but, did not want to spend a huge sum of money on one, so I had been keeping my eyes open everywhere for a bargain. So, I found one, dated, but, in very good shape, I may even paint it with some of that plastic paint, but, it does not really need it. So, what did I pay for this little treasure, $3, yes, $3, is that a bargain or what? The boys love it!!!

Then Saturday night Mi-Mi invited us up the lake to watch the boat parade, we could not resist. Caleb caught his first fish, perfect size for him, don't you think! And Ethan meant his future prom date, now you would never guess but, Vivian is almost a year younger than Ethan, says something for the shortness in our family and the height in hers, she is so beautiful!!

Dylan slept through the whole night, but, Ethan enjoyed the boat parade as did Caleb!

And today was Ash's 7th Birthday party, Caleb swam like a big boy with just arm swimmies on! Ethan and Dylan wanted nothing to do with the water but, sure did love the cupcakes Robyn made, she did such a great job with them, she made them in cones, decorated the tops with blue icing and put a teddy graham on the top of each one with a jelly lifesaver around them, a great idea for a pool party, I LOVED it, very crafty Robyn!

That is our weekend in a nutshell, now I am ready for some much needed sleep and off to work tomorrow!

4th of July

Turtles

For me there is nothing better than seeing a animal in it's natural home. We have this place in our town where you can see snapping turtles up close (with a little bread to lore them out). We had thought a few years back when they did work to the road near the swamp that the turtles had left the area, but, today we decided to give it a try and boy was I happy as ever to see all the snappers still living in the swamp (where we could see them)! Of course Caleb loved it too (the twins fell sleep in the van) and could not get enough of the turtles. Next time we will go earlier in the day when the painted turtles will likely show their shells as well! Yippeeee I am so excited that they are still there!

Day at People's State Forest

We love our State Parks and seeing as Mi-Mi got us a State Park pass we have been trying to hit them as often as possible. Aunt D, let us know about this really neat guy that brings small animals (snakes, spiders, lizards ect...) to People's State Forest every once in awhile for a free show. We could not miss it, so we piled up in the van with Brianna and Aunt D and headed for the woods! It was a good time, we stayed after and had a cook out and spent some time playing ball and enjoying the river.

So our friends the Gallaghers were nice enough to give us their swing set that the girls no longer used. One dangerous trip down route 8 (sorry Karen, I know my husband is crazy, lol), a few boards replaced and a few hours of assembling and my boys are in LOVE!!!!

Father's Day

The boys made some great gifts for Daddy for Father's Day with sand in mini salt and pepper shakers and contact paper, they had a ball making them (I highly recommend this project to anyone with little ones)!

Aron worked Father's Day so, we spent the day down at the shore with Aunt D and Uncle Chuck and then met up with Daddy during his lunch hour.

So then on Tuesday when Mommy and Daddy were both off work we relived Father's Day with Daddy, packed up the cooler and went down to the shore again.

Goshen Stampede

Friday night we went out to Goshen to the Stampede. The boys did not have much interest in the bull riding, but, they did like the baby animals from Action Wild Life (we really need to take them there). They also loved the ice cream, games and Caleb loved the fireworks, Ethan and Dylan fell asleep before they started (10:00 is awful late for a one year old). Daddy and Mommy had a good time hanging out with Aunt D and Uncle Chuck too!!

In an attempt to beat the heat and humidity that has been torturing our area the past few days, the boys have taken to the water! Ok, so they are just small bits of water in our back yard, but, they LOVE it and it continues to amaze me how much joy water, no matter the amount, can bring to a child especially on a hot day!

Caleb has been away, first to spend the night with Mi-Mi and today he is heading down to the shore with Aunt D, Alyssa, Madeline and Ella for a couple days. Although I miss him terribly when he is not here, the house is strangely quiet and they twins really get to "play" together without big bro around. I so enjoy watching them at this age, it is so fun! Here they are playing in the toy area.

Then we headed outside and they enjoyed their water table, I reommend getting one of these to anyone with little ones, BIG hit!! Honestly I was afraid of the ones with water and sand, digging water out of sand and sand out of water at the end of play does not sound like fun to me, but, this one is perfect for us, just water and they LOVE it, all three of them.

Summer - corn - yummmm!

The twins had there first "real" taste of summer night before last, that is right their first corn on the cob! Of course Caleb had it before and managed to clean two ears the other night! Ethan and Dylan were not too sure, as you will notice in the picture, Dylan really had no clue but, enjoyed it none the less!

Ok so this post is quite late but, a little while back our Hospital, Charlotte Hungerford held a twins day, a little get-together for all the twins born at our Hospital. There was not a huge turn out considering all the twins born there in a year but, it was a nice little gathering. We had snacks and they gave each of the twins a little gift, for the little ones like ours it was sand bucket full of all kinds of goodies, including bubbles, sand toys, play dough and side walk chalk. I think if they continue it every year they will get more and more of a turnout each year. Oh and we got to see the wonderful nurses that helped us along during out delivery process and they got to see the children they helped welcome into the world!

Of course Ethan and Dylan would not cooperate for a nice photo no matter how many times we tried, this is the best we got of them LOL!!

Off to Myrtle Beach

From KY we headed to Myrtle Beach for a little R & R - it was awsome!!

Of course the first place we had to hit was the Aquarium - Caleb can never get enough of them!

It was a perfect family trip well needed! We had a great time visiting with family that we do not get to see nearly often enough and then got in some family time just the 5 of us which also does not happen nearly often enough - 10 days later and about 30 hours total car travel time and we are home now to the mountains of laundry and yard work that needs to be caught up on - but, SOOOO worth it!!!!

Trip to KY

We loaded up the family van and took a trip to KY to visit Daddy's family. We had the chance to get to see Uncle Teddy, Uncle Jeremy and Amanda and Braden, Becky and Katlyn, of course Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great trip and it was over way too soon, although it always is no matter the length! We miss you terribly everyone!!!!

It is Spring in Connecticut, which means the daffodils are out, we took the boys to see the fields in Litchfield, Caleb had a ball running around and we got some good shots!

I like to refer to Ethan as my "little helper", he is always bringing me a little piece of something he found on the floor, whether it be a piece of cracker or a scrap of paper, for me to throw out. He also loves to get Dylan's blanket or binky for him or collect Caleb's trains when it is time to pick up toys. Lets just hope he is always so eager to keep things clean and neat!!

So as you know Caleb recently turned three, I had been semi prepared for this "change" by experienced Mothers when they would tell me, three is so much harder than two, but, I thought how is that possible. Oh, it is!!!!! But, at the same time it is a GREAT age!! His brain is like a little sponge and he absorbs everything. The problem I am finding with this is he is FULL of questions, like all day and all night long. I would think he would would loose his voice at some point, but, no he just goes on and on and on. One of the great things about it is the words that come out of his mouth crack me up sometimes. The other day I was making a roast, lost track of time, forgot to set the timer and well, you know what that means (yes, burnt roast). So, Caleb asks me "what is that Mommy", "it is burnt roast Caleb" (in a upset voice, because that was dinner), he looks up at me and says "oh Mommy, that is so yummy, that is my favvvooorite", he just knows how to brighten my day!! Needless to say I was able to "save" the roast and when we ate it he did love it!

Two boys and a girl is a frequent question I receive when out and about and someone is admiring my BOYS!! I have always thought that I knew who it was they were confusing for a girl but, tonight while snapping a few shots of the boys before bed, I think it is obvious, poor Dylan, I guess I better make sure he is in blue all the time!!
